Right brain vs Left Brain- what does it mean?
Is there a difference between left brain and right brain?
Irlen Syndrome (also referred to at times as Meares-Irlen Syndrome, Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome, and Visual Stress) is a perceptual processing disorder.
It is not an optical problem. It is a problem with the brain’s ability to process visual information.
This problem tends to run in families and is not currently identified by other standardized educational or medical tests. When an individual suffers from Irlen Syndrome, their brain has difficulty processing certain wavelengths of light.
In this way, light (especially bright and fluorescent lighting) becomes a stressor on the brain. This stress causes certain parts of the brain (e.g., the visual cortex) to become overactive.
It is this over-activity and inability to effectively process visual stimuli that create a variety of visual, physical, cognitive, emotional, and neurological symptoms. If your child has either light sensitivity, headaches, migraine, or depth perception issues it could well be the cause and add to their level of stress and anxiety as they always try to play ‘catch up’
Free call with either Dana or Adi to understand if your child will benefit from Irlen screening. you would be asked to fill in the self-test and check your vision as visual problems should be corrected before the screening. Schedule a call or Call us at 07305687733.

In the UK inferior colored lenses and overlays are sold by different companies and sellers that have got nothing to do with Irlen. they use the name ‘Irlen’ to promote their products. The reason Irlen works as well as it does isn’t because of the color, it’s because of the method used to determine what color you need.
With over 100,000 possible custom colors, the key to our method is individualized, precision tinting, and our in-depth diagnostic protocol ensures that you end up with the specific color your brain needs. Just because someone says they can help Irlen Syndrome, doesn’t mean they use the Irlen Method or offer Irlen Spectral Filters. Make sure you know what method of color selection is taking place.
